This is where I've come to, in the past few weeks. I am still not getting my hips clear and thats making me throw my hands at the ball. I think my positions at top and during the back swing are great it's just the last 1/3 before impact and the lack of hip turn. Let me know if yall have any suggestions!!!

It's because your right leg is straight at the top of the swing. Keep it flexed as it is at setup, and you will allow your hips to rotate better at impact.

Flex just a little more at setup as well. Your upper body is too over the ball. Feel your rear end push outwards like you are sitting in a bar stool...(which reminds me of a joke, for another post).

One thing that can help is my Impact (wall) drill.

This really works to get the body to feel a better impact position...good for straching the back.

I agree with GregJW your posture could be worked on a little. You are a little hunched over the ball at address. I have a drill for the posture here: http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/v...p?page=posture put this drill to work at the range and you will eventually be able to feel the correct position without going through the exercise (which can be rather tedious to watch, and perform on every shot on the course As already mentioned your left leg then seems to lock at the top of the backswing (try and maintain the flex from posture), which in turn locks the hips, making it very difficult for you to get good hip rotation on the downswing/followthrough.

In Summary: Work on the posture drill and maintaining that right knee flex on the backswing (you will be able to generate more power with this, not to mention accuracy) and also the great drill GregJW has provided.

Let us know how you get on.
