Here is my golf swing with the driver. I have real difficulty connecting with the ball consistently well, any help would be appreciated. I have a side on view on another post if that helps.

I am going to combine both videos for response.

A few things:

address: your are bending with your back and reaching with your arms. Your back should be straight (bend at the hips) and your arms should hang loosely from your shoulders. Your feet, for a driver, should be a bit more than shoulder width apart. The inside of your feet should be in line with the outside of your shoulders. Ball position should be inline with the inside of your left heel.

takeaway/backswing: you start your takeaway completely with your arms. If you pause when the club gets to parallel, your shoulders haven't moved from the address position. You need to turn your upper body to create coil. You may think you do this already, but you are tilting more than turning. Try to get your left shoulder over top of your right knee at the top of the backswing. I have a drill at the bottom to help you with your proper position at the top of your backswing

Once you have mastered the above, then you can start working on your downswing. Because you haven't built up coil with a good backswing, you are not generating any power with your downswing, therefor you are swinging purely with your arms. You need to start your downswing with your lower body, which will bring your upper body and finally your arms around, not the arms starting the sequence. At impact, your hips need to clear and your chest should be pointing at the target.

Try GregJWillis's right hand drill to get you started:

I also have a few good drills to get you going on the backswing and downswing:

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

Thanks for the quick response, i'll try and apply what you've suggested. I'll post an improved swing (hopefully) in a few weeks.
