I am a 12 handicap player, and a new member to this site, i can see that people can look over your swing, ever since i started playing golf, i could never hit my driver striaght, yet my irons are straight. If you could look over my swing, and give me some drills that will help me. Ive also been playing golf for 2 years.

Ok,

Not a bad swing at all good tempo a little long but very good.

You do however have some very simple fundimental errors.

Firstly look at the shot face on..................ball position is level with your front toe, move it back about 6 inches, this will cure the second problem:

Shoulders......because your ball is so far forward your shoulders are always pointing right of your target.

Take your set up and then lift your club up and place it along your shoulder blades, you will see you are aiming miles right.

You have a right to left ball flight, a slice for a lefty. By following these two tips it will feel really difficult and the ball will seem to far back in your stance, stick with it and you will notice your ball flight change once you relax to a straight or a slight left to right.

Work on this first and let me know.

Regards

Ian.

In moving the ball back, will i get higher ball flight, and longer distance, because when i would hit my driver, with the slice, the ball didn't get a lot of height, and usually with a slice you dont get a lot of distance.

by moving the ball more towards your heel and squaring your shoulders, should promote a more inside to inside swing path, ball flight should be more boring and straight or slight draw.

good swing jus gotta watch the hip turn as you approach impact there a bit to static. your impact position should be more like your set up. get that rite an you will gain alot more power!
