This is My Dad's swing from about 3 years ago.

He's struggling at the moment.

As anybody got any tips or comments regarding his swing ?

Thanks

Wow...can he get any farther away form the ball without toppling over?

He needs some setup work. Get a wedge in his hands and get him to hit 100 shots where at setup his arms are perfectly vertical. He will need to stick his butt out a bit more so he creates a little gap between his hands a belly...that will help comfort this transition.

But when he gets the comfort of this new setup, work SLOWLY back to a driver, hitting another 100 with the 7i, 5i, 3i, 5w, 3w and finally the D.

The last frame of the shot is his right leg slipping. This means his weight is still back there. Have him hit the PW with his feet together to help his weight transition.

I'm a golfaholic, no question about that. Counseling wouldn't help me. They'd have to put me in prison, and then I'd talk the warden into building a hole or two and teach him how to play. ~Lee Trevino

Lee Trevino had no problem!

But would like to know if you Dad have full mobility in his Hips! Before making any changes to his swing/posture.

Over the years I have played golf with many players young and old, I’m getting near the latter! The hips are worn/painful and the tendency to reach out with the arms is a way of playing the game, the arm swing works harder while the hips stay quite through impact.

Perhaps you would let me know.
