Thats exactly what I did!
The GG trousers were very tight, not suitable for wearing trouser underneath in my opinion.

Very happy with the combination.

Ordered a Calvin Green waterproof Gortex top from my club pro shop. Are you happy with yours?

Re: waterproof clothing

Just got back from a round and it was torrential. Not one drop got through my Proquip. And as it was too cold to sweat, I had no moisture inside.

Re: waterproof clothing

I ended up purchasing a set of Mizuno Impermalite waterproofs, I liked the pop off sleeves and full length zip and poppers for flexibility. I played this Saturday on an away-day with my golf society and it rained stair rods all day with howling winds. I was bone dry underneath at the end even in these atrocious conditions. As always great quality from Mizuno.

I even came runner up with 36 Stableford in those dreadful playing conditions

What I do find a bit of a rip off is that when the word "Golf" gets associated with clothing a large markup is added. A similar outdoor walking coat using the same materials can be around £100 cheaper in some cases.
I dropped back my sunderland trousers and replaced them with a pair of Gore-Tex Callaway ones, the sunderland ones did not repel the water and so got saggy and heavy, also they were letting water in around the zipper, which looks a bit funny when you take them off in the club house

That's right Bill, good tip.

I like using NIKWAX on my shoes in the winter it really keeps out the wet.
