| Re: Slope Rating?? We use slope/rating in Canada, too. While the RCGA is governed under the R&A, we follow the USGA's lead most of the time. (IOW, our ruleset follows the USGA, but our conforming equipment list is from the R&A. My .860 COR driver was legal 3 days ago...) Personally, I like the idea of the SSS changing. Pin positions, tee chock placements and weather all contribute to how hard a course plays. My home course hasn't been sloped or rated in a decade... and grounds has chopped down quite a few trees and filled in a few traps.
