ive just sold my electric trolley and returned to carrying and had some of my best ever scores. the bag has been relatively light as ive only been carrying a half set and so you have to think more about course management and club selection maybe that has led to my better scores ![]() |

| Re: A question for you Bag Carriers... And the rest of you as well... I like the extra time between shots - I always feel like I have to rush when I ride. However, I like to simply walk, and not carry my bag - so the 3 wheel push cart is my answer! All the walking, none of the carrying. |

| Re: A question for you Bag Carriers... And the rest of you as well... I always score better when I walk, and I walk when ever I can. The time walking between shots helps me to focus on the next shot. Things like how I want the shot to fly, and club selsection possibilities. Once I get to my ball, and look at what ever situation is at hand, is when I make up my mind as to what I want to use, and do. Also when walking I have my clubs right there with me for proper club selection. Walking also allows me to play at my own speed, which has a positive impact on my swing tempo, and timing. When I can't walk, and have to ride I am usually sharing a that ride with another golfer, or others in their own carts. Usually with another person, there is going to be too much idle converstion, plus chasing someone else's ball can be a distraction. Also there have been times when I would walk to my ball, (for whatever reason) from my cart. Once I got to my ball, I found I had the wrong club. To save time I would hit the wrong club anyway, which would usually cost me stroke. Stupid stuff like needing a 6i, and finding out I pulled my 9i instead. Or, maybe the actual lie dictated a club with more, or less loft. Stuff like that. GJS |

| Re: A question for you Bag Carriers... And the rest of you as well... Because of the increasing weight (the bigger the bag the more you seem to take ) of what I was lugging around I toyed on and off with getting an electric to replace my pull trolley but in the end went in the other direction and "downsized" to a light carry bag. Would be interested to know why you ditched yours. |

i got a new ultralight bag and carry a half set and its easier to navigate the course when you are carrying. |

| Re: A question for you Bag Carriers... And the rest of you as well... definately prefere to carry , plenty of good excercise , and i do score better. seem to be 'closer to the game', more in tune, difficult to explain but if i use a trolley this feeling goes. |

| Re: A question for you Bag Carriers... And the rest of you as well... hi i have just changed from using a push trolley to using a powered trolley. due to damage to my spine i found i had back pain carrying my bag after only 5 holes. my friend gave me his push trolley to try and my back was fine and he let me use it for a few week until i got my power trolley. if i did not use a trolley i would not manage to play a full round and i have seen no change in my score but don't feel so tired when i finish playing and can relax with a nice cold beer and not want to go and lay down for a sleep. cheers bill

| Re: A question for you Bag Carriers... And the rest of you as well... I did use an electric trolley for some time, well until it packed up. It was good but was also a bit of a pain: Charging the battery, remembering to take the battery, pushing the heavy thing sometimes when the battery ran down, turning up on a wet day when trolleys were banned and having a bag so big I couldn't carry it, having to bypass some hazard areas etc etc. I have to admit that I like carrying a bag and although my back is a little dicky I find that when it is balanced with a dual strap it is not uncomfortable, also the exercise does me good. It is difficult to describe but as some others have said, you feel more in touch with the game somehow ![]() This new Tri-bag I have seems a nice bit of kit and although not electric covers most other eventualities.

| Re: A question for you Bag Carriers... And the rest of you as well... Oh! an one more thing. It was a pain loading the trolley and battery on and off the coach on my golf society away days, even more of a pain leaving it outside the pub when we got back while waiting for my wife to collect me later. The landlady didn't seem too amused when I asked her if I could leave it up her back passage when it was raining ![]() |
