| From Ian Hancock in another thread Quote:
However i ventured out today fairways soft n wet, greens very soft and bumpy, off winter mats although the air was cold the frost was just thawing due to a clear sky and low sun. Armed with winter woolies and the 3 skills knowledge. Boom my 1st shot a 4 wood 200yrds, 5 yards short of the pond, sand wedge over 2 putts and a nice par, this set the tone and 18 holes later i came off with a very respectable 79 (sss 70 although it is an easy open course to play) Taking into account Mr Hancocks quote, the lack of golf, I put this down to the knowledge and confidence the 3skills has given me. Do not rush it and make sure you digest ALL the information and tips. Roll on the Spring ![]() Cheers Keith |

| Re: Hopefully Getting Ready for Spring great stuff kieth!!! you may get a slight 'slump' with 3sk's , just carry on going .since a 4 week xmas lay off i have played about 6 times. been under h/c only 3 times. but really enjoying the game now. hopefully the easy swing will stop your back pain. |

| Re: Hopefully Getting Ready for Spring Yeah its boiling up nicely towards a golfing utopia in the spring and summer ![]() Will you be up for the 2 day event Ian seems we have a little bit of intrest going http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/g...-gto-open.html (The 2nd UK GTO Open ?) I personally thought the 1st one although a great event was over a little too soon, a night on the beer and another round would have been ideal (mind it would not have done me any good lol) Cheers for the encouragement guys |

| Re: Hopefully Getting Ready for Spring 2nd round this week ![]() 12/14 fairways hit 10/18 greens in reg 33 putts for a 76 lovely dry sunny day with not a breath of wind. Driving was awesome apart from 2 which i slightly pull hooked. Greens in a bad state hence the 33 putts. Happy days for the future me thinks |

| Keith those days are just a memory now winter greens & playing of mats, now have to play with only two layers on in Sunny Spain mind you this week has been cloudy & windy and cold 12 degrees. |

| Re: Hopefully Getting Ready for Spring Come try our local links course on a cold Feb morn with a stiff breeze coming off the sea. Its enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey ![]() Two layers indeed, up here thats the norm in the summer lol Cheers Am up on the North East coast brrrr nice |

| Re: Hopefully Getting Ready for Spring Played today a crisp sunny day but a windy. scored a respectable 76 (par 71) but hit 12/14 fairways, 10/18 greens in reg and those that I missed I had 4 up n downs and a total of 31 putts. Things picking up at my end . The greens were soft and very bumpy the fairways soft and a bit long, was off winter mats but thankfully no winter greens, the course plays around a total of 100 yards shorter than the 6022. All in all I was pleased. |
