| A Golfing Weekend Away... Well, it fair to say "I'm Excited!!"... (Thanks for that Big Kev...!!!) This weekend (Feb 15, 16 & 17) sees me (and 15 other members of my club) heading away to the Bellarine Peninsula for our inaugural "Bellarine Cup" We are playing 3 courses over 3 days and staying at "resort style" (or so the trip's organiser keeps assuring us...) accomodation adjacent to the course we are playing on Sunday. We are teeing it up tomorrow morning at the Curlewis Golf Club. Following this round, we head to the resort to check in, from there it will be off to one of the local "establishments" for a counter meal and post match frothies. Saturday morning we are then off to the Clifton Springs Golf Club, where we are entering their day comp, as well as running a little side tourament of our own. The club have been most generous and we are staying on after our round for drinks and a meal in the clubs in house restaurant. Sunday, after checking out, we are off to the Portarlington Golf Club for the 3rd and final round of our weekend away. Promises to be a fun weekend away. Here are the links to pages for the 3 courses we'll be playing. http://www.curlewisgolf.com.au/golf_course.htm http://www.cliftonspringsgolfclub.com.au/ecard.html http://www.portarlingtongolf.com.au/home/scorecard.aspx Will blog about the weekend... | Before I retired from the civil service we had a annual weekend away in march down at newton stewart ( south west scotland ), the chalets were 40 pounds each but the best deal was with the golf club we had three rounds of golf two cooked breakfasts & one soup an sannies and two high teas all for the crazy price of 35 pounds and this remained the same price for years. Happy days indead I also heard that the boys are going down this year as normal mind you I prefer Spain lol. |
