Cool Response Ragman

As you will see from my profile, my handicap is 3. I wish to apologize to all here for my curt replies lately and I certainly don't want to use the forum to express useless info for others.
Not to over simplify but the fundamentals of the game are relatively simple and that's why I think of the game as simple.
Kooter and Golfbald and the other pros do an excellent job of explaining things to us who needs tips and the details are certainly voluminous but it all boils down to the fundamentals.
Whenever I have a bad round, its the fundamentals. We can talk all day about 45 degree hips, 90 degree right arm, swinging a hammer, strong grip, weak grip, fades, hooks, but it still all boils down to the fundamentals. When done correctly, most everything else falls into place. To all those who are just beginning and from one who has never forgotten what that experience was like, learn the fundamentals and you will have fun playing well; concentrate too early on the analytical aspects of the game and you will give up in frustration.
End of discussion.

Lightbulb Golf Swing Technique Discussions

You are correct in respect to beginners learning the fundamentals first. However, from my years of teaching as a Professional I have learnt one very important thing, and that is, everyone interprets explanations differently. For example, I can give many different explanations on how to perform a certain part of the swing even though the end result you are trying to achieve is the same. This is vital for it is how you communicate to different people. An explanation to one person, may not hold the same weight to another, that is why the discussions we have on this board are so important. Whilst certain discussions may not mean anything to you, there will be ones that do.

I hope that you all continue to post your ideas and thoughts on the various concepts, techniques on the golf swing no matter what level you are at, this is how we all learn (communication).

Good Luck
