Smile Got some lessons!

Finally I swallowed my stupid pride and signed up for some lessons with a pro. What a difference!

The pro very quickly identified probs with my swing, grip and stance. Now, instead of wrecking my head wondering what I'm doing wrong, I spend time at the range practising what to do right! Then off for a nice round of golf where I can see the difference reflected in my much improved performance.

Really, anyone who is having a nightmare should have a few sessions with a pro - Its unbelievable the difference it makes to your game and the enjoyment you get out of it.

Chuffed,

Jacko

Re: Got some lessons!

If anyone is truly a novice, doesn't have many rounds under their belt or time at the range, getting lessons is sure to help you. People who play a long time without lessons, like me, will usually see a drop off in performance. I had to change everything about my swing since I took my first lesson about five years ago. It has been frustrating at times but worth it. And I say this even though I don't think the lessons I recieved, especially given the number of lessons I took from the individual, were nearly as helpful as they should have been. But it still inspired me to practice more and research more. Practice is the thing. Before I took lessons I hated to hit balls on the range because I hit without purpose. Understanding the swing more gave me a purpose beside just wacking at the ball.
