| Re: Hitting irons off hard ground? It's no more difficult if you're hitting your irons properly (ie golf ball before the earth) it's just more jarring when playing off hardpan. What you have to watch for off hard lies is usually more distance and more spin due to better compression. |

Quote: not sure where you heard that from? the ball doesn't know if a divot is left of not. the only thing i can think of is the fact that you dont want to break you bones from the impact to a hard surface so you have less of a descending blow. but if i was sick in the head i bet i could shatter some bones and a shaft in the process of hitting down agressivly off of the assfault. but if you mean just hard dirt type ground, you can make a divot there. the difficulting would most likely be from hitting a high loft shot from the ground that requires a bounce like a SW, that is only thing i can think of. but i would much prefer hard ground to rough for a 6i, no grass in the way you could pick it nice and clean and get a lot of backspin. |
