The first place to consider is the town and surrounding area where you live; most clubs have a junior section or cater for younger people. Have a word with the pro at the course you attend most often and ask advice about local competitions. He will probably be aware of young golfer development groups in the area. Also check out the local newpaper for junior clubs and up-and-coming competitions.

I'm a caddy at a local country club and they said that they were planning on having one pretty soon so i'm lookin forword that. I'll check the courses in the area and talk to the pros there to see what eles I can do. Thanks!

Here in the UK you can't travel more than 10 miles without coming across a golf course; I suppose it will be a bit different in the states because it's so much larger. You might have to be prepared to travel a bit. That is difficult for pros to do and extremely difficult for amatuers.
