Tony,

You need to find one that fits your eye. Look for used ones in the newspaper clasified or swap shops. Golfers are always changing equipment.

I've heard it said that there are only 3 personal clubs in golf. Those are: the driver, sand iron and putter. I would put my ass on the line and say that the putter is the most important of these.

It's important to choose a putter you are comfortable with. It might be fair to say that the putter is the most frquently changed club in the bag. The choice of puttter is bewildering, there are so many of different shapes and sizes and those with gadgetery. It's important to get one whch feels right for you, sometimes they can feel a bit clumsy - I tried my friend's putter and it felt like I was using a length of drainpipe.

I have three putters but my favourite is a Mizuno which I purchased for £25 that's just under $40 US. I like it because it is well balanced and feels a bit like a magic wand to the touch.

Paul,

I agree with the 3 clubs. I have a difficult time with a driver. I have a garage full trying to find the Holy Grail. I haope this new SMT club is it.
