Re: Most Embarrissing Things on a Golf Course

getting caught by my group picking up the ball and throwing it over the knoll after a severe slice from the t box that left me at the bottom of a hill out of sight(i thought) from view of the others! after making my throw, i looked back over my should only to find them all staring in disbelief. i fell to the ground laughing, i had no other recourse. then had to take the ribbing for the rest of the day.

Re: Most Embarrissing Things on a Golf Course

Heres another I have just thought of:

How about duffing your tee shot when you are being let through by the group in front.

Ha Ha Ha.

Keep thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Most Embarrissing Things on a Golf Course

I once played with someone with an electric trolly. I was complaing about having to carry my clubs and he was showing off a bit and letting it ride up the the hill about 25 yards in front of him. I had the last laugh, though, when his trolly toppled backwards but carried on up the hill depositing a club every 6 yards or so. Laugh? I nearly died.

Re: Most Embarrissing Things on a Golf Course

Hitting my 3 wood an almighty belt on the par 5 18th and having the button on my trousers fly off.
Then walking to the 18th pulling my shirt down and pulling at my pants.
Or in second round of a captains prize in the last group (was third at the time).
I hit my drive..it hits the ladies tee-box marker...rebounds 60 yards behind me and ends up behind a tree.
Brian.

Re: Most Embarrissing Things on a Golf Course

How about trying to improve ur golf game and hooking the hell out of your tee shot that it goes 100 yrds sideways to the left and about 50 yrds forward. So then u think ok she'll be right just get another ball caus there's no one behind u so u can smack another one right up the centre. So u pull out ur second ball and now u slice the %#$@ out of it and it goes 100 yrds sideways to the right only 50 yrds forward. Then not only have you played 2 &^$% shots but now you have to walk from side of the course to the other other to get ur balls. This happened to a friend of a friend of mine. ME on the 13th. LUMPA knows what i'm talking about.

Keep it in short grass like I always do. Just make sure ur on the right hole.

Good luck on ur golf caus i havent had any.

Cool Re: Most Embarrissing Things on a Golf Course

how about this one....you swing your driver and hit the ball but you turn your head and dont see the ball in the air...you keep trying to find it and tell your friends what a hell of a shot you just made, that it is so far you cant even see it, but then someone realizes the ball is just a couple of inches in front of you, buried in the tee box.....

Re: Most Embarrissing Things on a Golf Course

Thought of a couple more!!!!!

How embarrissing is it when you give your score to your fellow competitor during a comp and he says" Wasn't it a 6 and not 5".

It must be embarrissing for the guys who have to collect their trolley from the front of the green, when everyone behind is waiting.

Going to watch the player championship and being thrown out by Davis Love for chantting for Tiger, there was only 2 million watching you "what a gimp".

My final point,

Being told you can not play their course without collars on your shirt in front of everyone in the club shop, "can anyone explain what all that is about"

Ian.

Re: Most Embarrissing Things on a Golf Course

I was playing with my friend once and he had the honour. He sliced-topped a ball from the tee which went no higher than 15 feet in the air bounced about 4 times and went in the hole I hit a solid shot which stopped 8 feet from the hole ........ and 3 putted Sod's law.
