More on sunglasses

Hi all,
I looked at Oakley sunglasses, then saw the price. After getting up from the floor I decided to expand my search. There is a shop in OZ called the Golf Clearance House. They currently have a brand called Sundog and are marked down from 70 to $25. They assure me they are distortion free polycarbonate lenses. Their shop is in Melbourne and I am in Gympie so I would be mail ordering them.I need sunglasses to play as one of the medications I take makes my eyes very uv sensitive.Has anybody
out there tried these or know anything about them ?
Regards,Peter

Re: More on sunglasses

for $25 you can't really go wrong and even if they don't work for you, it's only $25 spent..

give them a go..

as they are a surf brand i don't know the product well enough to comment either way on the quality and features.

Re: More on sunglasses

Thanks AGB, at least you have heard of them, that's a bonus.I have since googled them and found several PGA and LPGA players including Paula Creamer are using them,so I'll give them a go.I have a birthday coming up so they'll be free anyway.I will let you all know how they are after I have used them. They are marketed worldwide so we might all have a choice other than
the overpriced Oakleys
Regards, Peter.

Re: More on sunglasses

Not the best name for sunnies! I find that yellow tint annoying to ,I think it's worse than the glare they are supposed to stop.

Re: More on sunglasses

The yellow tint enhances contrast levels making it easier to read lines on the green especially in strong sunlight.
Skiers love yellow for the same reason.

It shouldn't be compared to darker lenses but to the naked eye.

Re: More on sunglasses

i wear a brown lens for the above reasons.. shows contours on the green and makes the ball stand out overall better..... but the yellow was just way too bright.. probably good when your playing in the dark. lol.
