| From the top Hello to all my name is andy from scotland and I currently play an unofficial 16 handicap. Having not played golf all winter and now paying the price once again I went to a pro shop and got my swing video analysed. The pro said most things were good with stance posture hands arms etc but on my backswing I was failing to cock wrists enough and this was giving me a very flat swing which I was able to see by the video comparison of myself and mr ernie els. At the top of my backswing my elbows were rather more wider than ernies also, the pro explained most of what I should be practicing on when to cock wrists and said I should now gain considerable more yardage now. I am really struggling to put most of this into affect and wondered what advice there may be,I have already looked at the information on this and some other help sites but what I was really hoping to get help with is what thoughts some of you golfers have during certain parts of the swing,I know to many thoughts can be a problem with golf but then again maybe 2 really good ones to bring onto the course could be a plus, what the tutorials never learn you are these thoughts which i think are very important, thank you in advance if you can add some input. What I mean by thoughts is not the technical side of the swing but more of the brain IE what to feel or imagine is there anything on this? Last edited by Andy_cap; 04-15-2004 at 07:22 PM. |
