| driver i am a high school golfer and i was just wondering something about drivers. my friends and i used to drive the ball the same distance. but now all my friends out drive me and i know that i am stronger than them too. i just dont understand. could it be that they have better drivers? also, could it be possible that my driver has lost its pop? thanks. |

| Hi Bill, Gord is correct in what he says. Firstly find out if you have lost a little distance, you could do this by looking at what clubs you used to hit into holes compared to what you are using into those holes now. Also you may have had certain noticable features on holes that you drove level with, such as a bunker or a large tree. Are you still driving up level to these? Also, have you noticed any difference in distance in your iron shots? Once you have established if you have lost distance or if your friends have simply gained distance we can start looking at ways to get you back on track. It could be that a fault has crept into your swing, or it could be that your driver needs upgrading, or both. Either of these situations have solutions. You can post a video or photo shots of your swing here and I will have a look for you and give you might thoughts. It's also handy to have video of your swing stored here, then you will have something to refer to in the future. Anyway, get back to me with the questions that I have posed and try to post a video of your golf swing.
