13 right hand and 1 left hand club in bag Hi All, I am unusual in that I carry 2 pitching wedges in my bag. One left and one righthanded. I play righthanded with all the rest of my clubs. The reason for this is that there are times when a lefthanded shot comes in handy if against a tree or beside a bunker etc. I can play reasonably well , although my distance is a little short, lefthanded. Although I am righthanded. I have had to sacrifice one of my longer itons to do this but have found this not a problem. Does anyone else do this?

Re: 13 right hand and 1 left hand club in bag How does that work, 'flip the wedge over'? Do you really mean that you hit the left handed shot with a right handed club? After seeing a collegue with a double sided recovery wedge, I considered that as a solution only to find the rules don't allow it. Since our local course has a very narrow fairway from the first tee, I spent some time groping about under the trees to loacte my ball. I decided to pick up the left handed wedge next time in the UK to avoid the kind of shot where there isn't enough space between ball and tree to fit in. I did question it in the rules section of this forum and it doesn't seem to be illegal.

Re: 13 right hand and 1 left hand club in bag Yes, you play the ball with the toe of the right handed club down. It works. I practice it at the range. I get about 100 yards at best. I use it about once every 5 rounds. I also practive hitting a normal left handed club so I know how to swing the right handed club in the position...then it is all about making contact.
