Yeh, Ian I agree. Golfbald was a great contributor to this site and he and I exchanged many personal messages then I lost touch with him. I sent him an email last week but have not heard back. Hey, Baldy, if you are out there, drop us a post.

| Re: Golfbald Hello All, It's been a very busy summer. Gee, I didn't think anyone would miss me. Just think of it as a mental lapse. Long Drive over the summer was a very rewarding experience. I didn't go to districts this year but will be working dilligently on a new swing technique to compete next year. My longest drive was 361 yards. I got waxed by 2 guys that day, one hit 394 and the other 402. Hard to beat those numbers. Both guys were 20 years younger also. No excuses, I had fun, got some great tips to share and meet some fantastic folks. I also was an instructor for the local junior summer tour. I have many juniors I teach but decided to teach at the camp. I did full swing and my kids did great. I has several 1st and 2nd place competitors. Kids take to instruction like sponges. Ya just gotta make it fun. Out of that experience, I have 3 juniors I am giving advance instruction to. Two of them want to enter college on a golf scholarships. All have improved their games drastically. One student Miss Robin Barnes wants to enter the State Womens Amateur next year. That's are goal. She is a very dedicated student. The bald guy is learning a new addition to the Mike Austin method of the golf swing. Mike and his primary teacher Dan Shauger have collaborted to document Mikes closest guarded swing method. I have been doing the pivot for years but the arm motion is totally different than the traditional swing. Through my testing I am finding it to require less effort to achive maximum ball compression. More to come!!! I will start comming by more. The great Gandolf also has this new information, should make for some interesting discussion. GolfBald

Re: Golfbald I hear NASA are looking to replace thier high velocity guns for simulating space debris. Perhaps a new job for those of you who are hitting 350+ ! It would be good to hear the secret of the swing that takes you to these distances. Look forward to the discussion.

Re: Golfbald Golfbald, Good to hear from you again, sound like you have been busy. I haven't had much imput myself latley, seems to me like the guys are getting to hung up on gadgets instead of hard practice. Momentos Inside approach Knife (thought that was for spreading butter) Glasses for putting Endless streem of new equiptment promising better distances. It's only my opinion that all maybe with the exception of the inside approach, which I would use for maybe 2 minutes to explain the correct path to the ball they are all money making scams. There is no replacement for having a pro or good mate help you to practice correctly, once you practice the right things it's all down to hard graft and mainly "mind set". As for drivers, at the average swing speed they are all pretty well the same, most guys don't have the club head speed to use the spring effect. Anyway it's good to hear from you old friend and I promise I will not mention the """"RYDER CUP"""""" Oh Dear. Ian.

Re: Golfbald I would agree. Practice doesn't make perfect but perfect practice does! I see so many people on the range beating balls. They don't have a clue why they are hitting balls all over the place. A doublesided full length mirror is the best training aid I've ever used. It's the only thing that allows you to see what your actually doing. Hope we can have some more great discussions, I'll post about the new Mike Austin swing that I'm working on. And thanks for not mentioning the "rc" thing. GolfBald
