Re: Your Favorite Shot!

They might have laughed but not me.

Funny story, real quick! I was doing a company day and someone asked me how to get out of a deep bunker. So, I took a ball put in the bunker and explained the whole thing: alignment, weight, steep swing, blah, blah. When I came to hit the shot, I fresh aired the damn thing! We all just packed up laughing!

Re: Your Favorite Shot!

My favorite shot is any that I hit cleanly and go straight. Unless of course I purposely put a draw or fade on it. Which I can't so I don't. I mean purposely.

Re: Your Favorite Shot!

I have 2 favorites:

Always the first shot in the round. Standing on the tee, thinking about the round ahead of me and that all the cr*p that took to get me to this point is a very very relaxing feeling. This is what it's all about right? We work so we can play. So lets PLAY!

Then the other is the last iron to the 18th green. This is where I go into my head the most, imagine all the pressure, play all the fun games that you are down 1, need birdie to win, etc...then try to block it all out. "Here he is, about to become the Master's Champion....I think he's got about a 2 iron...oh, he got all of that one...it's in the hole! It's in the Hole!"

Re: Your Favorite Shot!

Watching a couple of six foot fatties top drievers down the rough... then clearing the lake on the par 4 with my trusty Pine Ridge 5 wood.

Re: Your Favorite Shot!

I love playing a big draw around an obstruction and seeing it fly round nicely to my target.

Bombing my driver 300 yards straight is always a favourite, especially when its on the first tee!!!

Re: Your Favorite Shot!

I am not a big hitter off the tee, so I have to compensate with an excellent 3 wood off the ground which I can hit with ease. I need this on par 5's and long par 4's.

I think a wood hit off the fairway is a most impressive shot as not many players seam to master this.

I use 3, 5 ,7 woods this way
