| Re: Putters, how much would you be willing to spend on a Steve - use the search feature on this site - search for 'building clubs'. It tells you everything you need to know. Also, check out http://www.dynacraftgolf.com for components. Also, if you look at dynacraft or golfsmith websites they have instructions on how to build a club. Golfworks.com is also another great resource. |

| Re: Putters, how much would you be willing to spend on a I just gave a quick list for putter building in your Building a Putter thread. How you can tell the difference between clones and components is generally simple. Clones look like the OEM club. For example, Synchron is a clone name. I've got Synchron Medic hybrids - clones of Nike CPR's. I've hit them against actual CPR's - and the CPR's totally outperform the clones on every level - feel, distance, and accuracy. |

For the grip: get a roll of water soluable grip tape. Wrap it on the shaft end, wet it then slide the grip on and line it up with the head. That's it. So here's what you need; Putter head Putter Shaft Sand paper two part epoxy Grip tape Steel cutting tool Putter grip

![]() I guess I shouldn't talk, I've been looking at a Bettinardi Baby Bee for a while now and they go for about $900. It will be a while before I get to that point though, but it's nice to look. |

| Re: Putters, how much would you be willing to spend on a I have had several putters in my collection in the golf career. I have had a few collectibles but most are for play. I currently play with a Cameron Red X. I have a Cameron Brad Faxon Limited also in the rotation. I suppose I am willing to spend around $300.00 USD for something I use in play. Collectibles are another story but I have stopped this practice, as my financial portfolio cannot support this habit. |
