What is your favorite golf club in your bag. Mine would have to be my TaylorMade Rossa Daytona putter.......it has been nothing but money for me.what about you?

I daresay that it has to be my Nike CPR 18*.

I love the way it looks in the bag.

I have no idea what club will be the top performer BECAUSE THE SNOW STILL ISN'T ALL GONE!!!

Re: Favorite Stick

I will have to say I don't have any favorite club in my bag, but I like it when people are watching me and I pull out a great shot, dose not matter what club, either driver 270 yards down the fairway or 9 irons onto the green.

Re: Favorite Stick

Mine is an old offset Wilson 3 wood which I can hit off the fairway 99 times out off a hundred with accuracy and length. I would be lost without it on the long par 4's and 5's.

Re: Favorite Stick

I'm playing with a fairly old set of John Letters blades at the moment and the sand wedge is just a gem for flop shots around the green.

Re: Favorite Stick

It's got to be my 58 degree sand wedge, there is not anything more rewarding than a soft bunker shot to a few inches, flop shots and a multitude of chips available...what a club.

I bought a two ball last year....looks horrible but somehow it really works....this would be my favorite if it wasn't so ugly.

Re: Favorite Stick

My 5i is my club. Tons of distance, amazing accuracy - I use it any time I have a chance. Any hole under 400 yards I use it off the tee box - it is just automatic that it will be in the middle of the fairway.

Re: Favorite Stick

A very old Taylor Made 7 wood with a small club head that feels like a solid rock. It looks like it may be from the late 70s early 80s. If i'm ever in trouble or having a bad day I will go to that club. I can hit it b/w 150-175 yards, punch with it, or even chip with it. If i'm in a fairway bunker, it is my go to club.

Re: Favorite Stick

Gord,

It is funny that you mention you hit 5i of Tee when < than 400 yards...I have a simillar philosophy...driver is not worth the risk. I did the same yesterday, nothing longer than 4i of any tee!. Matched my best of 79!!. How far do you hit the 5i, I hit my 5i around 200. You must be hitting longer....

Re: Favorite Stick

My favorite is my 3 hybrid, which, with 22* of loft, which means it's really a 4i replacement. I can hit 200 yards or better with it, off a tee, depending on roll, and I can get 180 on the fairway. I hit pretty straight with this club and it has a satisfying sound and feel. I guess what makes it my favorite is that I have confidence when I pick it up.

Nope, 195-200 yards on average. Off the tee I might get 205, 195 from the fairway. A 400 yard hole lets me hit 5i - 5i into the green.
Since I have mastered my new 3W though, that philosphy has died. On a 400 yard hole I am now 3W - SW into the green.

You know what's interesting about this? Consider this question: Can a person who never hits a ball more than 200 yards break 80 on an average course? The answers appears to be yes. So for anybody, like myself, who isn't playing anywhere near 80, working on distance off the tee is probably the least productive thing to do.
