ERC Fusion Driver vs. Big Bertha 454 Titanium

Does anyone here have any expierience with either of these drivers?? I can get either one for about the same price, but I am not sure what to go with. I am a 10 handicapper and play about 2-3 times a week. I usually get about 250-275 with my cobra 350. Any suggestions??

Thanks

My suggestion is to go hit both of them and then make a decision based on which one works best for you. Most places will be more than happy to let you try a few clubs out to make a sale. Besides, would you buy a car sitting out on the lot without taking it for a test drive???

Yep, I have the 10 degree BB 454. Previously, I used a 9 degree (2002) GBB II. I think I'm a little longer with the new club (~10 yds longer, 250-270), but it seems like it's easier to get it to go straight. Of course, I'm a ~24 hcp, so it may be easier for you to go straight anyhow.

It is important to use the alignment mark on top ... you (er, *I*) can't really line it up properly by looking at the face of the club.

Re: ERC Fusion Driver vs. Big Bertha 454 Titanium

Yeah, I hit the 454 but the guy told me not even to try the erc. I will go hit them both, and probally pick up a 454. I just got a 52* and 56* forged + chrome, and 3-PW of X-18's. Thanks

Re: ERC Fusion Driver vs. Big Bertha 454 Titanium

I think your going to find that you like the 454 better. The pro at my local golf shop said there is a design flaw in the ERC w/ the distribution of the metals in the club. I don't remember exactly what he said but he said his Callaway rep did acknowledge that they made a mistake designing the ERC. I have a 454 and I love it! Good Luck, i would still hit both to see which one you like. If you hit the ERC better then who cares if there is a design flaw!
