| Sponsorship Money? I had a question as to how these guys on the nationwide tour and on the hooters tour go about being able to afford their traveling if the tour only pays the little money it pays. I'm assuming they pay their way? What about say the guys on the PGA Tour, do they have to pay entry fees ect.? I figured there may be a pro on here that could explain the money deal and how these guys afford to be able to travel and play! |

| Re: Sponsorship Money? PGA tour: Everything is paid + endorsements Nationwide/Hooters: Varries. It depends on your standings and the deals you make with the sponsers. They come to you, not the otherway around. Basically, if you play well, they will come. |

| Re: Sponsorship Money? Ok so say i have some talent and I want to play competitivley. What would be your advice on getting started? I know you have children as I have one so you know what goes along with that. Would you join the Hooters Tour or some other tour or just showcase at local amateur events? What is the chance of getting noticed there? I guess I'm curious Greg to know what I need to do to create my best opportunity with what I have! Thanks for your help! |

| Re: Sponsorship Money? That is what it currently is based on about the last 8 rds. The last 2 times out i shop 81,80. Would have been in the mid 70's but i lost a few drives and got penalized off the tee. I have taken the last 2 yrs off because of a child. I was a 7 before that and working lower. I am self taught and never had a lesson before. I feel with some work from a local pro that knows his stuff i can get to about a 2 w/in 12-16mths. If i just polish up on my putting and my driving accuracy I could be competitive. I know i have the game for it but it has just been finding the time to play over the past couple years. I know i probably sound off base to a few of you but i know my game and it is there i just have to polish it up. Hell i just want to make 75-100k/yr. playing golf!LOL Big Dreams! Thanks,
