Thought for the day

Padriag Harrington............

Wins last week in fantastic style with great golf.

Enters this weeks Smurfit Open shoots 79 First Day and has just shot 74 for the second day.

With them scores he would only just pass the PAT (personal ability test) to qualify to be a PGA club professional.

It just goes to show that Golf is a very hard yet can be a rewarding game and we should not get to down on ourselves when we have a bad round or be to clever when we play well.

A good lesson for all I think.

Ian.

Re: Thought for the day

Well said Ian once again.

That is a great thing to think about for young and upcoming golfers and also the older generation. Golf is a tough game that at times is your best friend but at others it is your worst enemy.

It is proven that the best in the world can do shots and rounds worse than you would think. But the important thing to remember is, if you are having a hard day, never quit, never pack it in, persevere and stick at it!
