| Re: Right hand drill You can learn the right hand drill at Greg Willis' fabulous golf website: http://members.cox.net/gregwillis/LESSON1.htm My personal commentary: if you want to improve your golf, you have got to get on this drill! It teaches a feel in the golf swing that you must have. If you don't you will never hit the ball properly. You can learn the drill using the info above, but I had some trouble getting and keeping the feel. I bought Greg Norman's "The Secret" which makes it much clearer. To me, it is like learning to ride a bike. You can learn with training wheels (analogous to The Secret) or you can fall off a bunch of times but still learn it. Chessbum.... |

| Re: Right hand drill ok the first link don't work. if we all hit the ball properly we wouldn't be here, right. as for the skimming a flat stone your not right, a downward blow is what you need for 90 percent of your shots, sweeping as we call it here will only get you 100 yards(or meters as you measure it) past the green, not good. you have to hit with a downward blow to have any consistency plus gives you a bigger target. basically the hands have to be ahead of the ball before wrist uncock and impact, and the only way to do it is to let the body start the swing. as for normans secret never seen it (there in it for the money) greg's right hand drill has got it pretty much nailed. but now you have to get the tempo down or it isn't gonna do squat, what a game. give these guys a chance they know what there talking about. dont fall into all the other mumbo jumbo, youll get good info here(there players just like us trying to be the best we can, what they got to lose) |

It works for me and I play to a single figure handicap and am still improving. I tried the right hand drill and it didn't work for me. My swing thought does allow me to hit down on the ball as my distances prove. (155 - 7 iron). How you can make the assumption that I can only hit the ball a short distance with my swing when you haven't seen it(and won't unless you play me as I don't have a video camera). As I said ,each to their own. If it works for you then use it.
