What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

I've got a Nike igntie 460cc hot face stiff shaft. Nice head shape and well styled. Makes a nice noise. Especially good on a hot day .

Re: What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

Oh boy...

9º SMT Spectrum w/AccuFlex Evolution (R)

A great club - tight dispersion with the Evo shaft, and the hot face on the spectrum is great for distance. #2 on the depth chart.

9.5º Ashton MS-5 std w/AccuFlex Assassin WC2 (X)

A great head with smooth feel, good trajectory. The Assassin in X is a little boardy for me - a reshaft with (most likely) a VS339 (S) will probably put this one in contention. #3 on the chart.

10º SMT HP420 w/Graphite Design YS6 (S)

Even more distance out of this club for me - it seems to be the perfect driver. It's currently #1 on the depth chart.

10.5º TourSwing Tylex w/Mercury Performance Plus (R)

A decent replacement while the Spectrum was in the shop. Unfortunately, the shaft is too soft for my liking. This one is currently on the trading block.

Hey lowpost, is your stuff custom? I've never heard of any of the companies. (I know, I'm not very original - TaylorMade driver, Mizuno irons)

Re: What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

cleveland 460, graffaloy blue shaft stiff, its ok, maybe a little stiff for me
had the cleveland 460 with cleveland fujikari shaft stiff which I liked better but gave it to my son.

could somebody rec: a high quality graphite shaft the is not quite as stiff as the gaffoloy blue but stiffer than a standard graphite regular flex.

Try the following Accuflex shafts:

The 02 in S, the VS339 in S, or the Evolution in R.

Re: What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

Currently using the Nike Ignite+ 380 8.5degrees(Japan only model) with Graphite Design YS-6 Stiff. Good club as well and has managed to increase my average driving distance by probably 10-20yards. Doesnt have as much control as my previous driver though but very easy to hit.

Used to have the Titleist 975D 7.5degrees with the standard stiff shaft. Great club, really easy to work and control. Distance was also good (although people say its not strong on that side but when hit well, I could hit it 300+yards). Replaced it purely because I managed to get the Nike for a bargain price.

Question Re: What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

Have been hearing quite a bit about the Dalli beta titanium driver with Fujikura graphite shaft. Does anyone have any knowledge of this club? It has been advertised at what seems a bargain price.

Re: What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

Mizuno MP-001 T/S 370cc 9.5* Loft Grafalloy Blue Reg Shaft Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound Grip.

Snake Eyes Viper Ti4 9.5* Loft Fujikura Tour Platform Reg Shaft Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound Grip

Cleveland Launcher 400 9.5* loft Fujikura Speeder Stiff Shaft

Taylor Made R510 10.5* Loft TM 75 Stiff Shaft

Time to sell some i think!!!!

Mizuno is the class of the field for all round performance. But the Snake Eyes is a yard munching machine. I also thoroughly recommend the Fujikura Tour Platform shaft for those of you that like a lower flight.

Re: What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

Cleveland 400 Launcher 10.5° with a Fujikura regular flex shaft. Just love the club. High ball flight though. Then again, I hit the ball haig with all my clubs.

Also got the 17° Launcher fairway wood. That puppy really gets the job done. All in all, just love them Cleveland clubs.

Doppel,

Do you have the Ti or Steel version of this club? I have the steel and it's just the most amazing club. It's my "rescue club". I can hit it high, low, soft, runny, left-to-right, right-to-left, anything I want to.

I bought it in Bristol last year. Went to play the next day in soaking rain. Got onto the tee of a 280 yard par 4. 90° dogleg to the right at about 240 yards with huge pine trees protecting the green from the font. I took out my 17° and nailed it. Huge, high-flying draw, over the trees. Landed on the green and stayed there. Since then I have so much convidence in this club, i'd revert to it on the greens if my putter goes off.

Also have the 460CC Launcher. Super, super club!

Re: What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

I've got the steel model (with the Fujikura shaft) of this club and I too just love it. The ball flight is nice and high and lands really soft and sticks to the green. The only problem is when it's windy. I just hit the ball too high. I'm unable to hit the ball low when I actually want to. Otherwise, it's just an amazing piece of equipment. Wouldn't play anything else.

I use a 7.5% wilson deep red driver, 14% 3 wood and 17% 5 wood both clones of ping.

Re: What drivers have you got, and your opinion?

I have a Nike Ignite 460, with 10.5 deg loft and the standard R flex shaft. It's a great driver.

As Chi Chi puts it, the face is "hotter than my first wristwatch"..hahahaha
