| Re: Most dreaded shot to play? I'd have to say that the only way that gets worse is if you're in a deep divot as opposed to a tight lie. |

Gives me a chance to show off with fancy shots that you shouldnt normally play ![]() If you are in the rough , play it like a bunker shot on a tight lie, get your weight forward and your hands in front of the ball to prevent thinning it over the green after that is all wrists and gravy. (and stay down on it!) |

| Re: Most dreaded shot to play? I'd have to say my most dreaded shot is the 5 foot putt that was the result of a short putt. |

try this, stick all your weight on your right foot (assuming you are right handed) and lean away from the flag as you swing. (do this with a ****py ball coz you are gonna cut it and its gonna fly away) so to solve it, make sure your weight is on the front foot and that your hands are ahead of the ball (not too much, just not level or behind) Dont be afraid of them, practice a few and then you can start to finesse them ![]() The big drive with OB on the right , trees on the left and a big cross wind ![]() |

| Re: Most dreaded shot to play? A downhill bunker shot...just knowing you will leave it barried into the front face again....only to have to chop it sideways out. You know how to play it, what it will do and all still try it anyway. |

| Re: Most dreaded shot to play? Hey Rick, That usually happens because you are trying to impress who ever is watching. You have to be able to step up to your ball, go through your pre shot routine as normal and concentrate on the task at hand, not impressing the on lookers. If you are standing over your ball thinking 'I hope I don't duff this and look like a tool' - you are processing a negative thought and you will do what you are telling yourself NOT to do. The emphasis on the 'DON'T' is lost and all that is heard is 'duff the ball.' It is no different than hitting along a hazzard and saying 'I hope I don't go in the water.' What happens? You go in the water. Keep to the positive thoughts - 'Straight down the middle' or down the right side with a draw', or 'down the right with a fade.'

| Re: Most dreaded shot to play? Well I used to worry, but i have confidence in my swing, and I do enjoy people watching me play shots, especially when I hit a good shot. However I still despise the first tee infront of the club house, espeially when the weathers nice and everyones watching . |

| Re: Most dreaded shot to play? the 60 foot putt with 2 feet of incline and 1 foot of decline with the hole placed at the bottom of the last hill. I always get this putt on #12 at my home course. If i leave it short, the pin will be at the back, and vice versa ![]() |
