Belly Putters... Hi All, My putting this season has cost me a lot of strokes. I practice some but probably not enough. For the past 4 years I have been putting with the old standby, a Ping B60. After hearing a lot about belly putters, I am wondering if it is worth the jump over to see if it helps. I have even heard some say they should be declared illegal because of the ability to anchor the end of the putter to your tum, tum. Give me your advice, recommendations on belly putters. Are you using one? Is it helpful? What brands do you recommend? Thanks, Chessbum....

Re: Belly Putters... I tried one - A Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum Mid Sur. I couldn't get used to being jabbed in the gut on every putt... so I reshafted it, and loved my heavy-headed putter.

Re: Belly Putters... i use a 50 inch broomhandle ping putter, and use it side saddle looking at the hole, i find it 50% better than my last 34 inch putter, anything from 6 feet is 95% in. lag putting has me leaving it most times no more than 17 inches awayfrom the hole. this is the best buy i have ever made in 30 years playing golf. best of luck bill Last edited by bill reed; 07-11-2006 at 02:22 PM.
