Hi Mike.

A good drill at the range is to place a basket around a foot directly behind the ball and hang a driver head-cover over the front edge (trapped by the handle). When making your downswing make sure the clubhead comes from the inside and does not touch the head cover.

You have it. I hit to much from the inside and have too active hands. Why do I learn and forget so quick in golf?
