Re: Grip

Thanks msklar92. I thought that perhaps I might have to hold itdifferently because of my "cackhanded" way of holding the club.

Re: Grip

Although it might feel better now, I strongly recommend you to learn to grip the club the right way (left hand top for right-handed players). If you don't, you will be sorry later when you realize that your distance and direction control will be so much worse than possible.

Question Re: Grip

Why change?Your grip is what might be called the Shinty grip, shinty is a game similar to Hurling in Ireland. In the shinty area of Scotland this grip is regarded as normal, many exponents play to single figures. If I recall a South african pro.won a tournament in Europe using this grip, sorry if spelling incorrect his name was Sesunker Sewgolum.

Re: Grip

peter3, auldyn,

thanks for the comments. I am inclined to hook the ball left and thought i might have to change the positioning of my hands to correct it. distance wise driving aroung 250 isn't a problem just sometimes it ends on the wrong fairway. would'nt hit it 250 inches if I used left over right
