| Re: How Long Between Lessons I recommend at a minimum of 4 hours per 1 hour lesson working on nothing but that one item. If the pro gives you more then 1 item to work on, this can take longer... You also find that when you practice, you don't always work on that one item. So it is realy up to you, how well it sank in, and how easy it is for you to repeat without thinking about it any more. And that is the real test. Do you have to make a note to your self prior to the shot that you need to do that item? If so, then you need more practice.
And as you saw, playing right after a lessone is demorlizing. You get out of your playing groove having to think about everything, so you WILL play worse. Hopefully, you had some shots there that were of the new idea your were supposed to do, and that is about all you can get out of that round...that an some putting.
