Any suggested software for PDA?

Does anyone use software for their PDA that they'd recommend to keep track of their scores and statistics?

I normally write notes all over my score card (#GIR, #putts, if my drive hit the fairway or not, and a bunch of other items). I'd like to have some software for my PDA that I could easily enter it into after a round...something that will allow for multiple rounds on different courses and that could generate some statistics etc.

I've tried a few so far that I found on 'palmgear.com' including "Golf
Scoring System v3.2", "GolfStats v1.0", and "RMD Golf". The first two are
shareware and only seem to track one round...once you start a new one,
the first one is wiped out. RMD Golf seems very nice but there's no ability
to add notes or customize certain elements you might like to track...like
which club I used to tee off with on a given hole, or to capture anything else that comes to mind.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Re: Any suggested software for PDA?

Hi,
I use MobileGolfScorer (www.mobilegolfscorer.com). You can note all kinds of statistics, notes etc. In the Eagle Version you can even track your shot lenghts with GPS. This is really great because now my flight partners don't brag about drive distance. They now know they are shorter then they thought :-)
The programm is updated with new functions about every 2-3 month and support is great. I can recommend it.
Hope this helps,
Holger

Thanks Holger...I checked the website and I like the software...this line alone almost makes me want to make the purchase..."Take a breathtaking review of your Rounds from Space with Google Earth. See your Shots projected on Satellite Images."

Thanks again,

Andy

Andy,
you can test the software for some days before you have to register it. The google Earth feature is pretty cool.
Bye,
Holger

Re: Any suggested software for PDA?

Excellent - thanks again. I'm testing a few right now and none of them are quite what I'm after. Take care.

Re: Any suggested software for PDA?

I noticed that you have the shareware program "Golf Scoring System 3.2" listed above. I use this one. It does have an option to save your score to a memo before you start a new round. Not perfect, but not back for the price!

Thanks....the price is right for sure. For now, I've just created my own sheet to track statistics and I review them later to see what I need to work on. I still haven't found the right program to help me. Thanks for the response.

Pretty much what I do, I use the file that Golf Scoring System creates, then import it into Excel.

Good luck in finding just the right program, I know if can be difficult and finding good Palm software is getting harder these days.
