How to clean clubheads and grips?? Does anybody use anything special to clean heads and grips? I saw some products advertised, but wasn't sure if the are any better than elbow grease and water. Also, what products would be bad to clean with??

Re: How to clean clubheads and grips?? I use this revolutionary product called soapy water. It's a compound made from warm tap water, and a small drop if dish soap. I also use a stiff bristle brush (I've used an old stiff toothbrush in a pinch). Don't use acetone to clean with, or anything that leaves a residue behind.

Re: How to clean clubheads and grips?? Unless that white stuff is localised to the impact area, I think you're describing paint fill.

| Re: How to clean clubheads and grips?? so is that bad??? i mean as far as the balls i don't care because i am at the driving range. but does that mean i should try to sand my gooves down a bit? could that hurt my distnace? or maybe help? maybe that is the reason my short irons go so far and my long irons so short. does that give me more backspin? | Re: How to clean clubheads and grips?? Nope, not a bad thing at all. If anything, it shows that you're making clean contact - which will add spin, helping the ball to check up, and increasing ball flight. |

Re: How to clean clubheads and grips?? There are USGA and R&A regulations as to how the grooves have to be. Cleaning them with a screwdriver for eyeglass repair will not likely make the grooves non-conforming.
