Lightbulb Advice Needed!!!!!!

Hi,
I have been playing golf for almost a year now. I started off last year with a complete golf set that is not that great. I recently found out that for some reason my irons are about an inch or more shorter than standard (5 iron is 36.5 inches) and I am about 6'1 and 1/2 . Anyway, I am looking for a good set of irons for less than $300.
Any suggestions?

Re: Advice Needed!!!!!!

Hi Keith,

Seek out a well know make, Taylormade, Titelist, Mizuno, Cobra are always available, check with the pro before you buy that they can be fitted.

Steer away from Calaway unless you buy new, they cannot be fitted only at the factory from new, then of course they are great clubs.

Buy what you like the look of and feel of..............

Good Luck

Ian.

Re: Advice Needed!!!!!!

Alright thanks for the advice. I am going to stay away from no-name clubs or clones. Nothing against them, I just have a set of Nike Slingshot clones and I would rather get a real name brand.
Before this post I was considering: Adams IDEA a-1 hybrid set- found them for $200
Dunlop Loco hybrid set.

Tour Edge JMAX QL

Wilson Deep Red Fat Shaft

has anyone had any experience with these?

Re: Advice Needed!!!!!!

The Deep Reds are nice bats I had set of the fat shaft tour cast for a while as well and my old man uses the Deep Reds.

Wilsons gear is always well made and does exactly what it says on the tin. I found them to be as powerful as the Callaway equivalent without being quite so ugly.

I would also recommend a set of Ping ISI K, Mizuno Comp EZ and Cleveland TA7
