I found my ball of choice last season...

And for this season, seems Callaway have stopped doing the HX Red balls. I'm not amazingly happy... I didnt even notice the price drop any!

Now I have to go through (another) season trying to find "the right" ball for me!

I just feel a little dissapointed that I'm gonna have to spend a load of ££ on testing golfballs!

Hi JP,

Didnt realise that callaway have stopped their HX red balls. Anyway I might be able to offer you some advice with out spending too much money. I wouldn't go for the berthas as they are a two piece ball plus has a lot less spin qualities compared to the HX Red. The type of ball which I think my suit you as you enjoy the HX Red is the HX Tour but not the Tour 56 as the tour has similar qualities to the Red but it does have a softer feel. Have a go and see what you think.

Cheers
Mark

Good idea I'll buy some today and hit them after work!

I don't really like 2 piece balls, just dont seem to be able to play them as accurately.. I can't backspin them on greens as easily.
