| Side job teaching golf Im thinking about taking a course from www.golfteachingpro.com and become a level 3 teaching professional and teach on weekends at a local driving range that has no current teaching pros there. any suggestions or comments? |

| Re: Side job teaching golf You need to pass the playability test - you can register online for this. Also, would probably try and apprentice with someone before striking out on your own. The first rule of thumb is "Do no harm" and this teaching business is not as easy as it looks. |

| Re: Side job teaching golf its a 6 day course, and i am planning on taking some lessons to see how some people do their job, the 4 days before the test is teaching me how to teach and everything i love teaching the game, ive tought my brother, dad and cousin, and they are doing good i can pass the playability test with ease, its only 83-83, or 166 over two days, easy |

| Re: Is the bro hitting mid 80s? well they all had different problems, my cousin billy was the major slicer, good contact but major slicer, like you could close the clubface at address and he would still slice, i showed him what he was supposed to swing like, he was coming way over the top and not shifting his weight his front foot, i showed him the happy gilmore drill where you pickup your front foot and slam it down before you swing down, i showed him proper way to grip the club, proper way to chip, putt and all the basics, now he shoots in the mid 80s vs high 90s my dad, was the over agressive too strong guy that didnt use his body in the swing and either sliced or hooked cause he was very handsy, i showed him how not the flip through the ball(yeah the right hand drill) and got him shifting his weight right and most importantly for him not to swing so far back cause he looses all connection and he does better with a 3/4 swing, i showed him the correct top of the backswing and made him swing back look at it and make sure its in the correct position and then right through with hips and right side
