Cobra 440SZ

Anyone have a king cobra 440SZ as i am thinkin about buying one and would like to know if they are any good? reading reviews on the sites that sell them they sound pretty good but not sure whether i can trust these.

I have had a 10.5 440SZ for the last 3 years and I love it
Problem is that it will be illegal come 2008.
Check the version you are buying (especially if its second-hand)
It should *not* say UNLIMITED on the sole and should have COR .830 and *not* HI-COR.

A great club.

The ones that i have been looking at are the conforming ones

Any views on how this compares with the other top names eg. ping, taylormade, titliest etc???

I have the 440sz cobra. the club will not be illegal come 2008, it is the 440SS cobra that will be illegal I beleive. I have purchased one myself and the club is the best. It goes straighter than other drivers and tend to have a greater carry. I used to have a ping 10, with a reg flex and I would only get 250 yards with only 225 yard carry. With the Cobra I get more carry, about 240 yards, but less run so I am still about 250 yards. But I put this driver in the fairway as it goes straight.

so u would recommend that i get one of these over bigger names like ping etc??

The cobra has more carry, and a higher launch than the ping. but on the flat they both go the same distance. So for a longer uphill drive go the cobra, for a longer drive in the wet go cobra. for a straighter drive go cobra the ping puts more spin into the ball.

ill get the cobra then as straight drives are what i want thanks for the advice mate

Sorry I also forgot to mention that the ping i use has a 10% loft where my cobra is a 9%.

so u reckon lower loft for the cobra coz i was gonna get 10.5??

have been using cobra driver and irons for three years. Wouldnt go beyond them.
