Aftford has left the building

Hi folks.
Aftford has been insulted by another member in what i can only describe as some kind of jealous tantrum.
Aftford has since decided to leave this forum and concentrate on obtaining a REAL coaching qualification ( unlike the person who insulted him).
He wishes well to everyone and is sorry that it has come to this.

Tell him to not let one person's comments get to him. The vast majority truly support and appreciate what he contributes to this site.

All I have to say is why get insulted by what somebody over the internet says. You'll probably never meet this person. And it's easy enough to ignore a post.

Is the guy a relative? A good friend? A co-worker?
If none of the above, I apply this philosophy. "Why do I care, what you think?" I even apply it to the above sometimes.

Sad to hear this, Aftford was a good friend and mentor to many of us on this site, he replied to my threads and encouraged me many a time when my game was in bits.

Good luck with the coaching, wish you the best.

Are you sure he won't come back?

Maybe the guy responsible could post an apology and he might reconsider!

Good idea. Things are starting to get a bit uncivil

WHen I read aftford response of grow up and find another thread I said
"aft, what is the deal with this? I would have expected more from you, and what did he say that the mods should be aware of"

some of aftfords mannerisms made KBP uncomfortable and in no demeaning way KBP expressed that. I was suprised to see aftford act the way he did because up untill that point. I would not have expected that out of him. aftford feels I disrespected him in my comment. But dont worry, aftford is here, just with a different name

In the first place i tried to cut thread short because i thought things were going to get heated between GONAVY and KBP ( read the whole thread )
secondly i didn't appreciate the private message where told me i had a contolling infuence over people on this site and i cut my responces short and don't allow others to have their say.

This is my last reply on this site shootin, now perhaps you won't feel so threatened by somebody with equal knowledge

Thanks to all my friends for the kind words, i will drop you all a private word from time to time.

I know i'm new to this site, but it seems to me that you both have a great deal to offer people on this site and neither of you should feel threatened by the other. i have been reading both your threads with great itnterest , for months and both your threads have given me a great deal of help.

Wooo..back the bus up, how did I get included in this, yes I was part of that thread, and I ignored what was going on, as I usually do when people make comments that have nothing to do with an answer to a question, concerning myself with the poster asking questions. trailsbikers had his question answered, but kbp needed a more detailed answer which I tried provide. I did not at anytime think kbp and myself were heated, he or anyone else has a right to thier opinion, as I do, honest debate is what this board is about, I thought. It is up the poster to prove his point, hopefully without getting personal, which I thought some personal coments were made, but not by me.

Someone please wake me up!

Aftford, your threads were thought provoking, informative, humorous and I guess we can come up with other adjectives. We know you enjoy the game and sharing unselfishly with others.
Why don't you guys patch things up and let us have the benefit of your years of experience? Huh, c'mon, do it for your legions of fans.
