| Left or Right? I have been playing for about a year and have been playing left handed, however I managed to get a free lesson yesterday and the guy took one look at my swing and suggested I might be right handed. He gave me a right handed club and told be to hit it. He then said that from seeing me do that he could tell I was a right handed golfer as it looked better. For me playing right handed felt really horrible, but this is probably due to me being used to playing left, however I was getting height on the ball where as when I play left I rarely get any height. Should I get another opinion before trading in my clubs for right handed or should I just trade them in? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!! |

| Re: Left or Right? hi becky are you right or left handed, lee trevino was left handed but played right handed golf, he always maintined the we all play the wrong way and we should always contol the club with our strong hand and that means a right handed person would use laft handed clubs, i have never tried it but have read a lot of books that say the same. best of luck bill |

| Re: Left or Right? Hi Becky. I used to think i was somewhat of an oddity because although i am naturally right handed, i find this not to always be the case . In football ( soccer to you people stateside ) i play left footed. Any sport that uses a club , cue or bat iam left handed. any sport that requires me to throw an object i am right handed. i hold cups, forks, spoons or cigars in my left hand. I have a theory that the brain instictively knows what feels awkward when we try a new activity and makes adjustments accordingly. so in answer to your question, stay with whatever feels right cheers aft ![]()
