| Re: Patience With Swing Changes. i'll agree with your statement. i'm a handicap 19 and have been playing well for a while but still shooting consistent low 90's. on a bad day i will still shoot low 90's. i had big problems in my driving as i would always slice badly. if i was lucky i would hit it straight and long but i wouldn't know what i did right to achieve that. i had a pro show me a few pointers as to what i was doing wrong and after hitting about 1/2 dozin balls i sorted out his adjustments and hit it straight and longer than ever before. but it's now been about 8 games since that lesson and my brain still has lapses and switches into what i use to do (but with my new grip). instead of slicing, i'll hit it hard left. needless to say i have easilly gained 30m on a straight drive and though i'm still shooting the same low 90 scores i also shoot many more pars and even 4 birdies in 3 games. just a matter of practice and consistency and everything will fall into place eventually. |
