I notice more accuracy and velocity by putting the ball well below the club head

I notice i get a more consistent ball flight (less slice) by putting the ball well below the club head when teeing up. I know with the newer drivers it is more beneficial to tee the ball up higher (especially with the bigger drivers). Is this something that is helping disguise a flaw in my swing?

Re: I notice more accuracy and velocity by putting the ball well below the club head

it is hard to say with the limited info you gave..... but one reason it could help is because you are hitting it low on the face causeing more backspin.....and the more backspin, the less side spin affects the lfight of the ball, downside is that it will climb too high and then fall llike a rock and not go as far.....

or it could be that when some people try to hit the ball on the upswing, they open their body unintentionally and that slices it, maybe lowering it just allowed you to have a square body to the target line.
