| The holy grail: Larry David's golf tips in 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' I was a fan of Curb before I am golf (I'm a noob with only weeks of experience), and it's occurred to me that golf appears as a thread throughout the comedy show. Larry's seems to represent someone always looking for the ultimate tip, and trades such guidance as currency with his friends. In Season Five (new here in the UK), Larry wants to employ a surgeon to help help his sick father. It's a delicate operation and Larry wants the best. But when it comes to the green, Larry watches the surgeon yip uncontrollably! It doesn't look good: shaking hands do not bode well for a surgeon. Is there anything Larry David can tell us about golf? |
