| Soft Greens I played on Monday and for the first time since May the greens were soft. We've had a very long, hot summer in the UK and it's been very frustrating trying to get the ball to stay on the greens. I've lost count of the times I hit a iron shot that's on line only to see it bounce sideways into trouble. Anyway I shot 69 (1 under) and I didn't even hit the ball that well ! From 100 yards and in I was very good. All thru the summer I've hit shots and watched as the ball bounced and rolled and finished nowhere near where it was originally going. It's like playing on a proper golf course ! |
