Golf competition in the winter

Hi,

Anyone know if there is any competition golf for me to play in, in the winter months either in portugal or spain what i can play in and also go towards my handicap?

Because I want to get my handicap down to 4 by the spring so I can play on a mini tour called the tamsel tour which is around the north wales and manchester area what professionals and amatuers of all ages can play on. they are 2 day events and will be good experiance for me because i want to play golf for a living. My handicap is 6 at the moment but there is no medal play competitions at my club or anywhere near in the winter what I can get my handicap down with! Wish they had the USA handicap system in britain where you dont have to play in competition to gte your handicap cut! i would easily be off 4 handicap by now.

Any hope you can help.
