Iron Set

I am a beginner and searching for a good used iron set. I have located some on EBAY and need opinions. I have to choose between Adams GT2 Undercut, Ping Eye White Dot, Titleist Acushnet, Titleist DTR, and MacGregor DX. All except the Adams are older sets. Please help if any of you are familiar with these irons.

the ping eye white dot are 3% upright and for a very tall person, often they have a 1/2 inch added to the shaft too. are they ping eye or ping eye 2s and if ping eye 2s do they have a dot or a + on the back of the heads, if not then they have the square groves and not aloud to use them anymore as the groves were to close together and they were banned.
ping eye 2s have a real good feel and are very forgiving, one of the best clubs ping made and think it was there biggest selling clubs.
hope this helps with the ping, dont know about the other clubs.

They do have a white dot. WHat about spalding, dunlop, wilson? Do they make decent clubs and will one of those names still be better than most clones?

the white dot tells you the lie of the club but if ping eyes 2 it should have a + or a dot of steel to tell you its the legal set of pings, they had to change there groves on the early ping eye 2s.
have a look on the ping site and do a web fitting to see the clubs that will fit.
