Uk 2007 Golf Tution Online Comp Day

Hi Guys,

Just a thought of mine as the weather has been bad near me and with so much time on my hands, thought about we should organise a golf comp for us in the uk for 2007. Maybe if it is successful how about a golf tuition Ryder cup event?

I was thinking that the event would combine a stableford comp with a bit of a social event for the nighttime a meal and drinks at the bar.

These are my thoughts but please indicate yours and what you would be prepared to pay for the comp.

Hotel = £100
Meal 3 course = £30
Golf = £40
Prize fund = £10

Total event cost per person = £180

Golf comp would consist of

1st Prize - Trophy plus gift
2nd Prize - Plaque plus gift
3rd prize - gift
Last Place prize - stupid gift
Nearest the hole - money
Longest drive - gift

Well let me know your thoughts and who would be very intrested in attending.

just a thought im playing at hill valley in shropshire for a guys 40th birthday we are getting 2 rounds B+B and evening meal for 90 quidfor the weekend.

Cheers Slater for the info on hill valley you will enjoy that course as been there many times with work comps.

I was thinking of putting the golf course quite central in the uk so people would have an equal distance to go. I am also looking at portals golf club for the event.

I think you're in the same boat as us Canucks and Yanks. Although, it does give me an idea for next spring - the GTO Virtual Tour.

So long as it's a weekend, I'd be up for it.

I'm in London so the middle of the country would be fine.

Sounds like a plan.

Maybe worth posting some locations and rough prices for each to see which would get the best turn out but I think it is a great idea.
