Golf in UK - any greenfee packeges

Hi,
I am taking part in a discussion on a Finnish golf forum about cheap golf holidays next April. Question is where a Finn can play one week golf most cheapest. All cost included.

We fly very cheap to London so I suggested that somewhere near by might be a good place to go. Does any one know if there is a affordable green fee packege of a week green fee in any clubs. Somewhere that can be reach easyly from London? (Or Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow?)

Can any one help me with some numbers?

green fees in edinburgh are anything from about £15 to about £150 but there are some good golf to be had cheeply in east lothian too.

What about green fees for a week - kind of weekly green fee?
They have that in Sweden. I have not seen it anywhere else, but I have not been looking. What about Scotland? any weekly green fees?

yes we have that too. look up "east lothian golf" to find out. same for edinburgh. you can play the council course and play what ones you like out of 6 i think. its the same for most in scotland.

Dartmouth Golf and country club is good. They have two courses, one a championship course.

The Hotel and leisure facilities are very good and it is situated in a beautiful coastal area. We have found it extremely good value.

It is someway from London, Bristol or Exeter would be the nearest Airports so you would need to hire a car.
