| Re: What are your biggest achievements of 2006? Happy New Year To all my Golfing buddies all over the world!!! My greatest achievement for 2006, after playing golf on and off for over 30 years was setting a new personal best score of 84!! I couldn't believe it. I often wonder how I could play to a score like that then right back to the low and mid 90's the next day..haha. I guess that's golf for ya. Maybe in 2007 I can better that score again, who knows.... Chessbum.... |

| Re: What are your biggest achievements of 2006? My greatest achievements this year are completing a Grad Cert in Management in 8 months instead of 12 and shooting 75 on the weekend in a howling gale to reduce my handicap to its lowest ever. The funny thing is i have hit the ball a lot better in other rounds without the same result. |

| Re: What are your biggest achievements of 2006? Played in that very same howling gale last Saturday, posted a respectable 90 off the bat for a nett 72 and managed runners up (in a 5 way count back) in my grade. Amazingly, 74/15/59 won the medal and my grade at my club. Think I could play for 10 more years and never again come runners up in my grade by 13 strokes.... Against my better judgement, given it was medal day, I retrieved both my Driver and 3 wood and took them along for the ride. Swung both clubs only once each, for a nett result of 50 metres gained off the tee, though I did hit both fairways!!! Back in the shed they have gone... Shot 90/18/72 two weeks ago in benign conditions, without either.... LOVE this game.... Oh, by the by, my biggest achievement (golfing wise) during 2006 was my personal best 82 off the bat on Melbourne Cup day... Hoping to get into the 70's this year...

| Re: What are your biggest achievements of 2006? just missed out by 6 days ive been playing a really tough championship quality course of late and last weekend (06/01/07) i carded a pb of 86. to say this course is hilly is an understatement! there are plenty of ravines where 150/160 yd carry is a must,a really smart par 3 which is 183yds to a plataeud green and you rarely get a level lie no matter how good your course management. really going for it this year hope to see the handicap plummet! |
